Welcome to one of the oldest homes in one of the oldest towns in Texas – the Manlove/Chambers House in Bastrop. Since 1832 the town has been a welcome stopping point on the Camino Real (The Royal Way) between Nacogdoches and San Antonio before Texas became part of the United States. Now it’s a place to enjoy legendary Texas hospitality in fine style.
All our rooms at the elm street inn are decorated with tastefully chosen antiques from England, Ireland and the United States. This was the home of Bastrop’s first Mayor and is now a great place to take refuge from the cares and woes of modern living. Enjoy Bastrop State Park, McKinney Roughs, Historic Downtown and the Colorado River. Only 25 minutes from Austin Bergstrom International Airport and 35 minutes from Downtown Austin.
